Angela was born in 1946, and as a child was inspired by her Grandmother who took her out painting in the Sussex countryside and encouraged her awareness of colour. She studied art at Kingston Art College, London.
Her early career was predominantly spent designing stage costumes for rock bands. This connection with the flourishing world of rock music took Angela to Wales where she was to run a rehearsal/recording studio for several years, and at the same time she designed clothes for musicians and fabrics and clothes for Welsh Woollen Mills.
In 1985 she moved to Cornwall and since then has enjoyed regular life drawing sessions and coast walking with paints and sketch book. She has had successful exhibitions in the West Country of England, New Zealand, Spain and the USA. Angela has a beautiful and unusual way of using colour and her figurative works are sublime.
